PRODUCTS & SOLUTIONS

A consideration emerged from a university study and very important if we think about the era we are going through, concerns the environmental impact that Type 4 cylinders have, if compared with previous types of cylinders.

The production, logistics and disposal phases of a Type 4 cylinder affect the environment about three times less than any other cylinder on the market.

All solutions proposed and produced by Carbon Cylinder are eco-friendly.

In order to obtain a better protection of the innovations that characterise Carbon Cylinder’s products three patents were filed and one community design model. A fourth patent is currently being studied.

What is the difference between the cylinders?

Type 1
Cylinders made entirely of metal (steel or aluminium)
Type 2
Cylinders made of metal, with a composite layer on the cylindrical part.
Type 3
Cylinder with internal metallic liner (usually aluminium) completely coated with composite material
Type 4
Cylinders with internal plastic liner, totally wrapped in composite material (epoxy resin and carbon fibre in Carbon Cylinder case)

Our Patents

To preserve and better protect the innovations of its pressure tanks, Carbon Cylinder filed three patents (with a fourth patent still pending), as well as a community design model.
These patents will deal with both the production process and several innovations applied to the finished product, which will make these composite cylinders the first and only in the world to have a square and rectangular section.

The use of these solutions, paired with the continuous research by Carbon Cylinder for the highest quality of materials, allows this Italian innovative start-up to supply extremely light-weight tanks for the most various applications: from Hydrogen (automotive, drones), to breathing air (firefighting, search & rescue, SCUBA), through technical gases (industry, welding, catering).
